You’ve certainly heard a lot about the Amarnath Yatra and maybe even visited there, but did you know about the Amarnath cave’s two immortal pigeons? When Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati visited this cave to recount the everlasting narrative, both of these immortal pigeons were present.

You will be astounded to learn that these birds are immortal, and no one is as fortunate as you if you ever come across these pigeons.

Amarnath Dham

The Amarnath Dham is a Shiv Dham where Lord Shiva is said to be sitting in the Amarnath cave. From a religious and historical aspect, this snow Shivling, which was produced from snowfall drops in this sacred cave, is also regarded as a miraculous miracle. A couple of pigeons have been claimed to have resided in this cave for years, so let’s find out more about them.

The Amarnath Pigeons’ Story

According to legend, Hindu God Shiva was teaching the secrets of creation and immortality to his wife Goddess Parvati at the Amarnath Cave. A pair of pigeons were mating in the cave when they overheard the lectures. When the story ended and Lord Shiva’s attention was pulled to Mother Parvati, he found her sleeping, and his sight was drawn to those two birds. When God Shiva witnessed this, he grew outraged, and both birds pleaded for compassion.

Following that, God Shiva granted a blessing to both birds, indicating that they would always remain in the same location as a sign of God Shiva and Parvati.

You’ll be surprised to find that, despite the fact that it’s freezing cold on one side and drenched on the other, nothing has ever happened to these two pigeons since they’re eternal.
