Hora is usually researched for the native’s fortune, or his or her financial situation throughout his or her life. The Hora chart is split into two halves. Cancer and Leo are the only two Lagnas/Rashis. Leo encompasses the first 15 degrees of male Rashis (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius). The next 15 degrees are also in Cancer. Female Rashis with the first 15 degrees (Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces) fall under Cancer, while those with the next 15 degrees fall under Leo. Allocation of Points as per the planets under Hora Chart:
- 5 points to the exalted planet (only Jupiter will get this if it is placed in Cancer Hora).
- 4 points to a planet, which is the Lord of the Hora (only Moon will get it if it is placed in Cancer Hora, or Sun will get it if it is placed in Leo Hora).
- 3 points to a planet placed in a friend’s Hora (Rashis).
- 2 points to a planet placed in neutral Hora.
- 1 point to a planet placed in the enemy’s Hora.
- 0 points to a planet placed in debilitated Rashis (only Mars will get it if it is placed in Cancer Hora).
It’s worth noting that everyone is born on either the Hora of the Sun (Daytime) or the Hora of the Moon (Nighttime) (Night-Time). Furthermore, the strong planets in the Hora of the Sun are Sun, Venus, and Jupiter, whereas the stronger planets in the Hora of the Moon are Moon, Mars, and Saturn. Furthermore, Mars and Jupiter in Cancer Hora will not receive any points for being in a friend’s Hora. If the planet/Lagna is in the same type of Rashi (male/female), the points must be doubled; if the planet/Lagna is in the opposite type of Rashi (male/female), the points must be reduced to half.
Astrologers can determine which Hora is more powerful through this research. If the 2nd House is strong in a Hora chart with a Cancer Lagna, the native will accumulate or make a lot of money. If the 12th House is strong in a Hora chart with a Leo Lagna, the native may face financial difficulties. It’s possible that both Rashis/2nd House/12th House have the same number of points.
